Hello,

I recently purchased a 5670 Sapphire Card as an upgrade for our family machine (which is around 3-4 years old).

As the machine is quite old and with either a 400W or 450W (meets minimum recommendations for this card) I thought it would be an appropriate upgrade from the 8600GT currently in it.

However, I installed the new card, fired up the system and there is no display at all. Everything is connected fine. The card fan spins etc. However there is no power to the USB ports (infra-red mouse is off) but there is to the keyboard.

I thought this may be something to do with the PSU, so I inserted the card into my machine (which is newer and as a 600W PSU) and exactly the same in that one also; wouldn't boot (no display) and no power to the mouse.

Does anyone have any ideas? If it is a compatibility problem, which I'm 50/50 on it being, does anyone have any recommendations of either a card to run on 400W PSU or for a decent upgrade for around £100 (PSU & GPU combined)?

Kind Regards and Merry Christmas.
