Hi all, im after a new graphics card after christmas my current system is a

2400 sempron +
1 gig DDR RAM
9800 pro 128meg
350 Watt PSU

the reason i need an upgrade is because im getting a 22" tft for christmas im thinking of a

ASUS 6800GT 256MB DDR3 AGP (second hand)
Core running 350MHz
Memory running1000MHz

GeForce 7600 GT 256MB GDDR3 HDTV/DVI (AGP)
Core running 560MHz
Memory running1400MHz

Radeon X1650 Pro ICEQ 512MB DDR2 TV-Out/DVI (AGP)
Core running 587MHz
Memory running 800MHz

which one would be the best option i know it is going to bottleneck but which one is going to give me the best FPS?

Thanks Jamie

My systems similar to that, only i have a 550watt PSU and a 754 athlon 64 3000+.

Went for the 7600gt for my xmas present. I'll be letting you know some point half way through xmas day, assuming it works and i manage to install it properly.

7600 GT is definately the best out of those 3. It is one of the best AGP cards out at the moment, second only to the x1950 Pro and the 7800 GS+, both of which are more (although the x1950 Pro not by a large amount, £30 or so more, I'd seriously consider it).

If it were me i would get the 6800GT, close enough in performance to the 7600GT that you likely wont tell the difference on your rig & if buying 2nd hand youll likely get the best deal on it too.

iv also found a

XFX GeForce 6800XT 256MB AGP 8 x Dual DVI VO
Memory Clock Speed 1 GHz
Core Clock Speed 350 MHz
I believe all 3 of the original cards you mentioned would be quicker.

ok thanks mate, appricate it ill find out christmas day if i get over 10 fps on cod2 :D

Well i can safey say its a lot better, with my 6600 i could play need for speed carbon at 1280x1024 with only high car detail and high car reflection update rate, everything else was on low or switched off.... and it still ran slowly.

Runs a little bit faster now, only everythings on full and i have maxed out the anti aliasing, still at the same resolution.

Its a [Don't swear please - Minstadave] load better. I'll post up how it does in other games too in a few minutes

EDIT: I've gone from 1700 something points in 3dmark 05 at 1024x768 to 4965 points at 1280x1024.

All in all i'm very impressed, now to test far cry :D

Ha ha, card replacement is easy ;) It plays CS:S completely maxed out with an average of 60-70fps I am very, very happy indeed.

Might look at overclocking it in a bit.
