Graphics Card Help

I need help in choosing a graphics card.

I was originally going for Gainward GeForce GTX 580 "GOOD Edition" 1536MB

I'll be using this PC for gaming and video editing. I would play more on my console than on this.

I was thinking of going with the GTX 570? Any ideas

depends on whether you can use that extra VRAM the 580 has on your video editing programmes.

otherwise, for general gaming, a GTX 570 is fine

What games do you play and at what resolutions?

He Said he'd play more on his console so i presume 1080p and not very many demanding games.

console games all run in 720p with the exception of Gran Turismo 5 which runs in 1080p

I presumed 1080p because many have full HD TV's
