Graphics card - Help

Hi All,

looking for some suggestions as my cousins radeon hd 7870 2 gb ddr5 1ghz-edition just gave up. Budget would ideally be around £100 that has the same sort of performance or better.

Any suggestions and I would happily look at nvidia as well.

Something like a GTX 670, R9 280 if you are luckier, even 290s are going for £150

With that budget, to get a boost in performance he'll need to go second hand.

Hmm im sitting here with a GTX 670 that may just have to get flogged and a shiney upgrade for myself made

If I do new im guessing the best card for around the £100 mark is a R9 270 at about 115 quid?

Yeah, that's most likely the closest.

670 is a good shout on the nv side, the most comparable card to it from AMD would be the 7950 in the sh market.
