Graphics card IRQ problem?

I've just installed a new graphics card to one of my systems (X1950 pro AGP) and after startup the system either locks up or crashes.

I'm pretty sure I've narrowed the problem down to an IRQ conflict as the graphics card shares the same IRQ (IRQ 16) as the motherboards onboard network controller and the lockup/crash usually happens within seconds of opening Internet Explorer.

Anyone know how to resolve the problem?

Thanks ;)

Make sure you have all the current drivers installed for the motherboard and all your devices. IRQ sharing isn't normally a problem anymore with newer motherboards.

Thanks ns400r.

I'm running with the most recent BIOS and drivers but still have the problem.

It's definitely not a problem with the card as it works fine on a different machine, and the motherboard works fine with a different card.

Any other suggestions anyone?

Well, still having the same problem and getting a bit desperate now.

I wonder if it's worth trying an older BIOS on the motherboard?
