On full screen my game is really fuzzy and only without full screen(windowed mode) does the game go back to normal graphics. text is fuzzy, cant screenshot comes up as black screen.

amd r9 280x

Obvious question but I have to ask since you haven't stated it...

Are you running in full screen at your panel's native resolution, and what is that res?

Things to try / check:

What lead are you using and have you tried a different one?
Is it the primary monitor (have you had more than one connected)?
What is the refresh rate set at?

I'm using a monitor: LG D2342P. Using HDMI, cannot use DVI as I have a different type of DVI (DVI-D) i think and do not have mini display ports on me.

The games work for 10 or so minujtes and the text and everything goes very blurry and unsharpo.

Yes it's the primary and only monitor. I don't know how to check the refresh rate on the game or desktop.

I've took screenshots however... everything looks perfect on them?!

What happens is even though I am 130fps in the main screen my mouse lags like **** (on the screen where I accept to change my res to 1080p) but if it is not in fullscreen there is no problem at all.

Is this a problem with my graphics card as my PC is barebones and has nothing on it apart from the game and a few drivers.... do I need to install MSI's R9 280X drivers or (like I have done) just the latest beta drivers from AMD?

Do you think that's the problem, beta drivers? I'll check and reply later on..

No black bars are to the side and looks like the monitor is on 1280x720 (it doesnt stretch to full screen it just leaves black bars on top and sides)

I want to change the "original ratio" from wide to original but it is greyed out

maybe iss my drivers?

In the AMD CCC go to My Digital Flat Panel go to Scaling Option and set Overscan to 0%

Next
Go to Pixel Format and change this to RGB Full PC Range

How does it look now?

This I already tried. Doesn't change or affect anythiung apart from the colors obviously.

What about the check box in scaling options "use the scaliung values..." or in digital flat panel "enable gpu or itc processing" etc

what do these do?

It says 60hz and 1920x1080 in the menu there

No idea sorry
I would look onto the monitor and see if that also have some settings you can mess with.

Do you think it is the gpu? It's only happened with my new graphics card and I might be able to get it swapped with a working one. Reseating or anythoing will help?

Graphics look fine in far cry 3 and other games but half of my games give me the fuzzy screen error
