After replacing my power supply because it decided to die on me got an rma very quickly from ocuk. Today more problems, While I was playing BF3 and on the caspian map I was getting this horrible fast paced cricket sound. Like an electric current buzzing!. At first I thought it was a board capacitor that had gone as the sound was near the graphics card and cpu/heat sink area however using Prime and Intel burn test the noise doesn't appear.

But as soon as I run Kombuster or play any game with extra load put on the graphics card it starts up. It's horrible, It's as the electric is buzzing at a fast paced rate on a coil. As soon as I stop kombuster or a game it stops.

Why is it doing it today?, is it safe to use?

This is making me feel ill :(

Sounds like coil whine my friend. I believe there is nothing you can do other than replace your PSU or your GPU. I read something to do with electrical interference with the capicitors between the certain components and there is no 100% way to avoid it as it occurs randomly afaik.

Doesn't even sound like whine, it's like a crickets on speed. It does seem to be more localized near the graphics card however it's doing it in all games and benchmarks even with VSYNC ON :(

:S I can't seem to hear it well. :( EDIT: It's really faint :/ all I can hear is your fans and air moving :D
