Graphic's card life

What in your humble opinions is a reasonable time for a graphic's card to last.
I don't mean just untill the next gen comes out but how long should i reasonably expect a graphics card to last untill it has hardware problems.

I ask as my 7800 [the expensive agp version] has just died at 22 months old which i think is a bit of a short life considering i still have a gf3 and a 6800gt which i have owned since they came out still in daily service.

Wasnt the BFG one by any chance was it?

Check the manufacturer for warrenty period, you might be able to get a free upgrade if it's a 2yr+ warrenty.

Nvidia 7 series - if I remember correctly - didn't have the best reputation in the world for being reliable.

22 months sounds very short. My Radeon 9800XT is still going strong after four years.

I've never had a card die... still got some PCI cards hanging around.
