Graphics Card looking for CPU match!

How does he meet his budget with a 2600k, given he will need to buy memory as well? The CPU alone will cost him 230 quid before he's paid for carriage, which leaves it tight for a decent board and RAM..

The advise he's already received with i5 is perfect and anything else is past the point of reason and just wasting money, especially given the 560ti scenario.

@Dhansak, the advise you've been given on the sandybridge i5 is spot on. You won't be disappointed and compared to what you have the difference is like night and day.

The 7850 is the new tech vs GTX 560ti old tech, it also faster, uses less power, has a lot more vRam and have waaaaaay better overclocking potential.

Add to that a GTX 560ti with only 1GB of vRam would push its memory to the absolute limit

The 7850 is just a superior card through and through.
