Graphics card making strange noise, fan? (video)

I have SLI MSI Frozr 560Ti and one is making a weird noise. I investigated and the fan seems to go into a weird cycle on GPU 1 and stay in this cycle of revving up and then stopping for 2 seconds.

Was recently dusted (month ago). Any ideas?

Dont worry, i have this too on 1 of my msi twin frozr 2 580's. Msi fans have been a pain since i got the cards..mine makes exactly the same noise yours does..i push the fans to full for a cpl of mins after i boot up and it works it out but then have to run that card at 60% fan to keep it from making noise. I have been tempted to take them out and add some oil but im gonna replace them soon. You can get replacement fans if needed.

It's strange that it's started to do it all of a sudden. Is there an easy way to adjust fan speed on these?

I use a custom fan profile on msi afterburner and that gets round the problem. You still have to put up with the noise until you get into windows and start up afterburner. Msi afterburner is your friend.

Just to add, my fan creates the noise but does not stop (as far as i know) so your problem is different, would start thinking about replacing the fan.

Any ideas where I can get a replacement fan and at what size etc. Thanks for the help

You would need to confirm your card is using the same fan as the 580 (i think it does) I can forward you links to where you can buy a replacement.

Find the screw hole spacing and fan diameter (or model no.) then try aliexpress/ebay

This is the 580 fan, same part no. If yours matches, then that should do it
