Graphics card memory problem? (8800GT)

Ok recently i've been getting this error message specifically when i try to run Kane and Lynch and Pro Evo, other programs work fine im guessing its a problem with my graphics card memory but i could be wrong, any help would be much appreiated, am running XP, tried re-installing graphics card drivers but it didnt work. Thanks in advance

Sounds more like a Ram related issue, have you overclocked? could be you've pushed the ram to far or the timings are to tight for the clock.

It was overclocked very slightly but that was over a year ago and its been working fine until last week and it only happens on some games which is weird

I had that message before, was faulty ram.

But if that was the case why do i only get the error when i try to run a couple of games and others run fine?

Different games use different amounts of ram, or maybe even certain areas of the ram is damaged and so when accessing those areas you get your error

glad you posted about this problem about to do the same thing and i thought it was my card too as it only comes up when playing some games... looks like my computer is doing some memtest tonight.

OK ive had the memory out and just kept 1 stick at a time in then swapped them around and it still gets the same error, surerly 4 sticks of RAM can't fail at the same time?

do you have a spare graphics card to test, i mean it might just be a driver issue.

It's not the memory, I started getting this error about a month or so ago.

Had it with my old and my new ram and both run 100% fine.

I get it when i close down the system only though.

Nvidia driver???

well with the tests i've done i've established it is not a memory issue, and the drivers for the graphics card are up to date so i don't know what else to try

Try clearing the page file.

IE: disable, apply,reboot then turn back on, just an idea....

Still didnt work
