Graphics card + Monitor needed

Just need a graphics card and monitor for my dads pc.

It has to be Pci Express and while he dosent play games, I may use the pc for network games. The games WONT be TDU

but things like Serious sam and if possible CSS.

Ergo I would like the monitor to reflect this as well.

for a low budget i would go for a 7300gt, mine plays css on 1680x1050 with a minimum of 31fps and a max of 55fps (excluding hdr maps where i can about 19fps minimum to 23 max)

so if you have the cash get a 7600, check the reviews on it though as i have no idea how it performs.

Then why are you recommending a card if you have no clue about it?

1950PRO tbh. £100. Anyway, you never said how much you are willing to spend.

Can recommend my 7600GT. Fantastic card for the money. Small, quiet, powerful and cheap (I paid £55inc new)

Would also say 7600GT but definitely X1950 Pro over a 7600GT if you can afford it.
