I was thinking about this card
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4550 "Low Profile"
should fit fine but whats the power like?

there site states.

Consumes less than 25 watts under full load
The ATI Radeon™ HD 4550 graphics card consumes less than 25 watts under full load, making it the ideal
choice for implementation across a large diverse install base of desktop PCs.

System Requirements

–PCI Express® based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard

–300 Watt or greater power supply (350 Watt for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode) is recommended.Certified power supplies are recommended. Refer to http://ati.amd.com/certifiedPSU for a list of Certified products

–1GB of system memory recommended

–Installation software requires CD-ROM drive

–Blu-ray™ playback requires Blu-ray drive and full 1080p display requires a 1080p-capable monitor

–For Microsoft DirectX® 10.1 support, Windows Vista® Service Pack 1 is required

–To enable dual mode ATI CrossFireX™ technology, a second ATI Radeon™ HD 4600 Series graphics card, an ATI CrossFireX Ready motherboard and one ATI CrossFireX Bridge Interconnect cable (included) is required.

I would seriously worry about a 8800 of any type being ona 250W PSU. 1 because they aren't low power and 2 the 12V+ rail won't handle it.

I had a HD4550 running in my hoojum cubit for 2 days (thats got a 120W PSU built into the motherboard only running a T2600 + hdd + optical) I would have thought that would be ok.

4550 is crippled by the 64 bit interface, very few more pounds gets the 4650 a a lot of more performance and it still does not need external power (4670 does not not need external power either).

That psu is likley to be at least a good 250w one as HP at least engineer there kit so they have some reserve and dont fail to early in the warranty period
