Hi all,
Just done my first build. specs are:
I5 3570K
Gigabyte Z77-DS3H Intel Z77
MSI HD Radeon 7850 OC Twin Forzr III
Seasonic 520W PSU

I've got it all built and Windows 7 installed.
I've got the correct power leads connected and it's in the correct slot on the motherboard but it's not being picked up in BIOS or Windows. I've installed the drivers and MSI software but still nothing
The fans are spinning on it so i'm guessing the power's ok?
At the moment I'm running from a VGA cable on the motherboard using the integrated graphics I think. I tried disabling intergrated graphics in BIOS which just lead to a black screen whichever connection I used to the monitor.

Thanks for any help

Sounds like an issue with the card outputting to the monitor.

If possible; connect via both your graphics card and via the onboard graphics - use the MSI software to select one as the primary output.

Sounds like your board is set to pci express 3 and your cards pci express 2.
all you will need to do is change a setting somewere. make sure your running the latest bios aswell. I had a similiar issue when installing a 690 on a rampage 4 extreme

Thanks for the help guys but still no luck! The card is definitely pushed into the pci-e slot properly.
I've been playing around with different cable combos and noticed whenever I try to boot with integrated graphics off and pci-e as the graphics, no lights come on the mouse so I'm assuming its not booting into Windows?
I then need to reset BIOS in able to get back to using i/o connection. After this, if I try to start the computer with the power cable connected to the 7850, I get no picture until I unplug the card!
