I see no real increase in fps when i overclock my 6950 memory from 1250 - 1500, only when i overclock the core from 800 to 975 do i see any noticeable fps improvement.

Anyone else noticed something similiar?

Overclocking the core makes far more difference than overclocking the VRAM so I'm not surprised.

Plus you've overclocked the VRAM by about ~9% and the core by ~19%.

I never realised that.

That was a mistake on my part the memory should have been 1250.

Overclocking the core is still where you'll get most benefit.

Plus if you've overclocked the VRAM too far then the it might still work (i.e. not crash) but the error correction can cause the performance to drop.

You should overclock in stages testing along the way.
