Graphics card PCI-E 2.0 – Motherboard PCI-E, Will it work?

Hi,
I’m wanting to upgrade to a GTX 460 Graphics card, but the motherboard I have (in my sig) is only PCI-E.

Will it work OK, or will it be hampered in any way by the motherboard?

All PCI-E specifications are designed to be backwards compatible and vice versa, so it will work. As long as the slot is x16, you won't see any performance drops.

Now all I have to do is convince the other half that I MUST have a new graphics card.
