Hi there,
My spec is as below...I have an XFX 6600GT and am thinking about either gettin the Belinea 22" or the Dell 2007WFP. My question is...will my 6600GT be able to run the resolutions required by these monitors while maintaining a decent FPS rate? The most demanding game I run will be BF2 on medium settings and COD2.

I really don't want to spend any more than the price of the Dell, and I was thinking that maybe if the 6600GT really isn't up to scratch I could buy the Beliena and use the left over on a new graphics card?

What are your thoughts?

All the best,
Tim

new GFX card is an absolute must really for gaming at 20" or 22" native res.

My missus has a 6600 GT, 3400+ A64, 1GB ram and it really stalls at anything over 1280 x 1024 especially in BF2.

i just got a 22inch belinea.

i went from a 17 inch 1280x1024 resolution to 22inch 1680x1050

and my 7800gtx dropped in fps on the Source Engine video Stress Test by about 25-30 fps. not a lot really, in game i still get way over 150 constant.

but a 512card could run all resolutions and not drop in fps a lot. 256mb which i have can run high res's but it looses a bit of fps

OK thanks for the info. Looks like a new graphics card then! Although I think I'm gonna order the TFT and see how it runs to start with. Games are great, but they definately aren't a necessity in my life and not being able to run them would certainly encourage me to focus more on my studies! So Beliena for now, then maybe in a few months I'll grab an X1950 on AGP.

Thanks again for the info

Well the Belinea 22" arrived today and I don't really know what to say. This could possibly be the best thing I've ever bought for my PC! WOW...thats about it :D

DVDs are awesome, picture quality is out of this world. And as a tiny little added bonus...BF2 runs almost perfectly with my 6600GT at high settings at native res. Now I didn't expect that!!!

OCUK...thankyou so much ;)
