Graphics card prices

Am I imagining this but graphics cards seem to be slightly up in the last month or so Nvidia and ATI.
Usually after a few months after release prices start to drop (not the loony price on release but after a few weeks) and the 280/260GTX went really low when the Hd 4870 and Hd 4850 were released but have gone back up.
The 4870's seem to have gone up around the £200 mark, mine was less than £180 when I bought it.
Any thoughts?

At least BFG are giving Far Cry 2 and 3D Vantage away. I was going to get Far Cry 2 so the Maxcore looks quite reasonable now. I'm using an 8800GTS 512 again at the moment but Crysis Warhead is a little blurry at times. Now I just need another 100 posts to get free delivery.
