Graphics Card Problem - Help Required!

Hi,

Me and a friend both have similar computers. The only difference is his has an i7 (instead of my Core 2 Quad) and he has 6gb RAM (instead of my 4gb). The graphics cards are EXACTLY the same.

When on Black Ops (and other games) he gets significantly better performance than me. In Black Ops he is usually around 125 (which he has capped it at) but it will dip slightly in crowded areas. My fps however is usually around 50-60 fps and drops to around 40 when in crowded areas!

We tried figuring it out and when looking in the Catalyst Control Centre:
My GPU Clock: 500MHz
My Memory Clock: 1050MHz.

His is;
GPU Clock: 240MHz
Memory Clock: 975MHz

We think it is bizarre that I am getting such a difference in performance. I bought this system from overclockers about a year and a half ago and when I think back its never run amazingly.

I wondered if anyone on here would be able to clear up this abit for us?

My Spec:

CPU- Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 @ 3.20GHz (overclocked from 2.66GHz by overclockers when I bought it)
Memory- Corsair XMS 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2
GPU- Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 4890 Plus 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express
Motherboard- GA-EP45-UD3LR
Case- Antec 902
OS- Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

Many thanks!
