Just put an (old) new build together, and it was running fine for like an hour, installed all the drivers and everything, and then whilst running cod4 it suddenly killed itself. It came up all weird on the screen and now when we try and boot it up the screen is just black. There is a signal, because it doesnt say no signal on the monitor, but it just stays black.
specs:
6600gt
p4 3ghz
1gb pc-3200 ram
msi 848p neo-v mobo

it was running cod4 fine with an fps config, and then he turned the gfx up abit, played for 5 minutes and then it happened.
any help would be greatly appreciated, our little lan is in jeopardy :(

Try using another graphics card in it if you have one laying around. My first thought would be a power failure. Maybe the card is drawing in too much power and the PSU can't handle it. Or you have an over-heating problem?
