Graphics Card problems: Green Screens!

Hi,

Well Today after I installed the new nvidia drivers my screen on games such as world of warcraft and day of defeat source after 5-10 min of play will go green and freeze up forcing me to restart, just before this happens the screen may flicker every 3 secs or so.

I have unistalled these drivers, driver cleaned and reinstalled about 5 different ones but sadly my PC is still cutting out mid game.

Im pretty sure its a graphic card problem, anyway here are my specs.

Leadtek 6600gt
AMD 64 3000
Asus a8v 939 motherboard
1gig ram.

I am going to reformat tommorow enless anyone could offer some advice. :<

loose monitor cable can cause this problem.

6600gt's were prone to overheating, check hot hot the heatsink is by touch when your playing and the second it crashes.

The Cable defiantly isnt loose, however the heat issue as you pointed out could be it. I take it the room temperature effects the GPU, but ive never had this problem in over 1.5 years.

Atm im fearing the worst about the card, but tommorow ill have a look at what temperature its running at!
