Hi,

I purchased this motherboard about 1 week ago from here : Gigabyte and was wondering if it would be able to run this Graphics Card of this site with no problems its here : ATI Radeon HD I am not wanting to use it for Crossfire would it still work if I don't use this feature?

PS - It says DVI and HDMI and I am not sure what it means?

Thankyou

unless its a competitors own brand, can you tell us the model of the MB, so we can advise you

also what are you plannign to use the graphics card for?

DVI and HDMI are 2 different types of graphical output connectors,

Edited the links so it goes to the main gigabyte site with the motherboard info.

I was gonna use the card mainly for gaming.

DVI is a newer type of connector (cards usually come with an adapter for the older type) to the monitor & HDMI is for high definition TV (mostly). That graphics card will work with that board. The older standard is AGP, only a few cards & a very few mobos are available that have AGP now, both your items PCIE, no probs.

So when I upgrade my monitor what should I been looking for the DVI or HDMI connector?

almost all monitors nowdays have DVI, some may have both hdmi and dvi, you should look for the one with the best picture quality for your budget and the one with the best customer support

for gaming you may be better off with a 3850, if you can afford to pay the extra, it a much better gaming card
