Well finally after growing weary of my laptop I've decided I want a pc to play all the games everyone else takes for granted ;).

I have around £250 to spend on a graphics card and was wondering what you'd recommend? The 570 gtx has peaked my interest so far. Below is the build I have compiled so far excluding the graphics card. If all goes well i'll order it today:

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail
NZXT Phantom Enthusiast Full Tower Case - Black
Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
Antec TruePower New Modular 650W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 32MB Cache - OEM
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9
Gelid Tranquillo CPU Cooler
LG GH22NS70 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM

Many thanks to the oc community for taking the time to read this =)

There are only two choices, the GTX570 and the ATI 6950

If you went with a GTX570 and wished to SLI later on? then a 750W+PSU will be needed.

The ATI card can get away with the 650W PSU above in Crossfire mode.

More than likely won't be going SLI any time in the future.

With regards to the Gainward GTX's listed above, is it worth while getting the OC Windforce edition over the standard one? From what I know of the normal one is capable of being overclocked anyway.

I believe so, better cooling is always advisable especialy when overclocking to keep the temps down. I have gigabyte gtx460 and the windforce coolers are great, +£15 for superior co0ling and less noise than a single fan is a no brainer.
