Hi all,

I built a pc a couple years ago and never got around buying the graphics card.

https://************.com/list/y6zMcx

Intel Core i5-12400 2.5 GHz 6-Core Processor
Noctua NH-U12A 60.09 CFM CPU Cooler
MSI PRO Z690-A WIFI DDR4 ATX LGA1700 Motherboard
Crucial Ballistix 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Memory
Samsung 990 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive
Fractal Design Define R3 ATX Mid Tower Case
SeaSonic FOCUS GX-750 ATX 3.0 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

I stopped following the latest tech. What are your recommendations for a graphics card so i don't bottle neck the system.

Thanks!

Hey, I currently got a Samsung LC32JG52QQUXEN 32" Curved Gaming Monitor - WQHD 2560x1440, 144Hz screen and have a budget of around £500. I have been out of the pc gaming scene for a little while but I want to get into baldurs gate 3 and check out some of triple aaa games I have missed out on.

Best card I can get to balance the system and future proof as best as I can.

Currently no gpu. Looking at something like the Zotac GeForce RTX 4070 Super Twin Edge 12Gb. I can look to upgrade the cpu when budget allows? Do you know up to what intel gen my motherboard can take?

your board will take 12, 13 and 14th gen (will need a bios update first though)
the 13600k would be an upgrade, albeit only minor...the main difference is that you'd gain the raptor lake cores rather than the alder lake cores, so a minor single thread performance uplift

yes a 4070 super would be a nice gpu to pair with the system :)

another thing i would upgrade would be the ram. 32gb would be preferable.

All the way up to 14th gen with bios update but the 12400 is not a bad CPU.

GPU Amd alternative is a 7900gre or 7900xt
