I'm trying to work out the best graphics card option for somebody I know.
They don't know too much about PC's and while it doesn't need to be an amazing graphics card, it does need to be at least as good as a gtx 460 or so. They are currently using on board graphics!
The tricky part is, there is a big preference towards something that doesn't need an external powering from the power supply. The power supply in this pc is only about 350watts, which limits the options, and the sockets coming away from the PSU are not amazing either
Any recommendations? The budget is generally "as low as possible", but am I right in thinking that something around a gtx 730/740 is the right thing to be looking at here ? any viable ATI alternatives that I am overlooking?
