HI got a PC in 2014 and i am pretty sure my graphics card has failed. Graphics duties seem to have been taken over by Intel currently & the PC will not recognise the graphics card. Looking for a replacement that will slot into my mother board with ease to replace. I have no idea where to start looking, please help.
I think the mother board is a Maximus VI Formula and the graphics cards was Sapphire Radeon R9 290.

"Titan Wrath Duo" Intel Core i7 4770K @ 4.4GHz Overclocked AMD Radeon Crossfire Gaming PC 1
Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - OEM 1 £199.99
Samsung 120GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE120BW) 1 £64.99
Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST1000DM003) HDD 1 £36.66
Sapphire Radeon R9 290 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card 1 £266.66

It's worth double checking that the card is still connected ok, etc. It may well have failed but you can always check, try removing it and refitting all the power connectors.

In terms of fitting and compatibility, any card is compatible with any motherboard in terms of PCIe slot, power connectors etc. Seeing as your card has two PCIe power connectors, your PSU should support almost all modern cards :)

Hi thanks, been looking online and this has come up a couple of times. Stupid question but would i be able to unplug old one and just plug this one in with the same leads already routed?
