Graphics Card Sag?

Maybe pull those PCI-E power cables tighter from behind. Better cable management and might keep the card up a bit more ;)

That said, that picture isn't straight either which is making it look worse than it is. Unless it causes you any stability issues then I'd just leave it be probably.

From looking st it, if the picture was straight it would sag even more :P here's what I'd do as my 460 is sagging and this is what I've done.. tie a 140mm fan just underneath the gpu at the end pointing upwards, tie with cable ties really tight so that it holds the card up and also gives it fresh intake. As a result my 460 dosent go over 50.c haha

Try the pcie cables coming from under the gpu. My 780 in sig sags a little as well but found that this helps a bit.

Tape and cut a couple of pencils together with the rubbers on the end (if they are not long enough) to prop up the card. That's what I would do :)

Can you not just use a little Wooden Dowel (you can get them from craft shops) paint it black or colour it in with a permanent marker, and use that to support the end card. That would eliminate the sag altogether and being wood it wouldn't conduct anything.

Route the PCIe Cables through the hole above the ones they are in at the moment and zip tie them down such that they are pulling up on the card.

Might also be worth redoing the PCI bracket screws to hold it as high as possible.

I saw a pic of a nunchuk controller wrist strap going from the card to a screw on the exterior of one of the 5.25" bays. Seemed to work quite well and didn't look too shabby. Something like that or pulling your pci-e power cables taut would get my vote.

I tried tightening my cables over the top, but that pulled the card itself upward and left the cooler hanging down, which made the whole unit look splayed and even worse!

Instead, I'd suggest either the discrete prop/dowel from beneath method (the Power Jack looks awful, like a concrete bollard stuck in your case) or tie a bit of fishing line to the underside and bring it round & over the front, to tie up in the top of the case somewhere.
I'm a big fan of the fishing line method.

Agreed that Power jack looks just horrible. I'd never stick something that horrid in my case

You can also manage sag by slackening the PCI plate screws, hold it flat with your hand then tighten.

Tbh some times its just poor design, some cards have the entire cooler weight hinged on 4 screws around the GPU core, rather then having it pinned at various points around the card.

OcUK need to stock these, cards are getting bigger and heavier with more and more being tight fisted selling big cards without a decent Back Plate, some don't bother to put one on at all.

Agreed, My VTX 280x has about 1cm of **** with a backplate on. I am sure that they would sell lots of these.
