One of the fans on my msi 270x has packed in but I won't be able to send it back for another week , I don't think it's leaking oil though , so aslong as I monitor temps would I be still ok to use it in the mean time ??

Graphics card still ok to use ?

So long as you can keep the GPU and VRM temperatures under control, it should be safe to continue using if a fan has stopped. Personally, if it was my rig I'd be happy using it but I definitely wouldn't game or put it under load as I wouldn't want to risk making it worse and having the RMA refused as a result (not saying they would, just I'm over cautious).
