Graphics Card Temperature

Finally back home in Cork, Ireland.
I have a mate who has a XFX 8500 GT graphics card which is suffering a few problems.

GPU-Z says the GPU is running at 69°C which seems a bit high.
His old 7800 runs at 50°C and my 8800GT is at 57°C

Does anyone have an idea of what the running temperature, while playing a 3D game, of one of these (8500 GT) cards is?

My mate has checked the XFX site but got nowhere.

Much appreciated if anyone could help us out with some temperature info.

Idle temps are not what matter, load temps are what's important!

Get your mate to find out the load temp during gaming and make sure it's under 95c.

Also, it is the stock version with a fan or fanless version? Fanless version could run hotter.

Apologies, I should have said - all temps are when running EVE Online so the card is working reasonably hard.

Card has a stock fan on it.

Thanks for the response.
