Graphics Card that outputs HD audio over HDMI

I'm looking to build a new computer system to act primarily as a home cinema media source for my set up. This means I'll need a graphics card that can output HD audio codecs and lossless audio over HDMI to my receiver. Does anybody know if there is a certain range that does this? I won't be using the graphics card for gaming (only indie titles like Super Meat Boy and Gunpoint etc.) so I don't want to spend too much cash!

Cheers

I've used 2 different nvidia cards for this & they both work great (although anything other than bitstreaming from them sounds awful)

Anything from as low as a gt 520 supports it. asus make a gt 520 thats fanless too so it won't make nay noise. I'm sure you'll be able to find one knocking about online somewhere.

I was running gtx 460's sli'ed and now run a 7970. Both cards I use hdmi to my surround amp for movies and gaming with no trouble.

I thought all cards with hdmi do audio?

Everyone I ever tried done audio and that must be around 10 different cards that I used, even the real basic £20 ones from years ago done audio.

Every card with HDMI that you can buy on the shelves today does audio. The vast majority even do DTS and Dolby bitstreaming.
