The ATi 4870 is the closest it can be to just right under the performance of the GTX280, so unless you can get it second hand or something, £100 is pretty much impossible for this.
The 9800GT or 4830 can be had for just under or around £100. Both are great performers for their price.
For just a little tad more over £100, the 9800GTX+ or 4850.
