Graphics card to run The Sims 2

Could you recommend a graphics card that will competently run The Sims 2 at 1280*1024 at medium-high details.

The PC spec will be 3Ghz, 1GB mem.

my sisters pc runs this with a 1.8 754 athlon 64 1 gb of mem and a 9550 at 1280 1024. with mostly high details. so anything better than that will do it.

Get yourself a 6800nu - will run sims 2 at top details and well it can run quite a few other games!

Erm, i played it with a 9800pro @ 1024x768 at max details and it was uber laggy sometimes

My daughter plays it on a XP2000 and 9800 pro and it runs okay, but can be very laggy, ive played it on my x1800xt and it still has a bit of lag in the house at 1600x1200, its a very demanding game.

My mate played it on a Athlon XP 2600+ (1.8ghz iirc), 1gb pc2700 and a Radeon 9800 Pro at 1280*1024. Worked fine, only laggy when you had more than 3 sims on screen at a time doing stuff, or you had a massive huge stupid over the top house.
