Whats the best card I can get for £100-£150 to play Stars Wars Old Republic
Will be playing at 1080p res 1920x1080

To go with i7 and 4GB ram as current card blew up 5770

aye easily i had a terribad branded 650w runing 2 in xfire so if they can run em your decent branded albeit slightly less Wattage psu will manage it.

Will 2x 58xx be better than something like a 6950? as i'd propbably be looking around the same price second hand anyway

the main advantage of the 6950 is its 2gb of vram which will offer better quality (textures/aa) over the sheer horse power of 2 5870s.

you can also get 68x0 with 2gb of ram.

Just got my misses a brand new 6870 today for £125
Cant comment on perfomance yet im afraid as she still installing windows but idle temps are fantastic and the gpu fan on only 21

6870 all day long, got mine for £130 and plays everything I throw at it no problem.

Yep was brand new but price went back up next day to £135

Performance is great and temps and quietness are awesome
Runs everything she threw at it at full whack including sims 3 and cod mw2 mind you only at 1280x1024.

But for what she needed it for its a great card.

Plus i got a nice dirt 3 code with it which wasnt expected hehe
