Graphics card upgrade advice

My Son wants to upgrade his graphics card for Christmas if course.
Current Build is
ZOTAC GeForce Rtx 2060 8192mb gddr6
ASUS PRIME B45OM-A DDR4 MATX
I'd really welcome your suggestions as I'm clueless

A 3060ti is about 50% faster than the rtx 2060 but prices are high unless you can get a fe variant which can be had at msrp if your lucky.

The 6600xt is slightly slower than the 3060ti but it depends on your budget and whas best value at time of purchase.

Whats your budget?

The 2060 is worth quite a bit on the 2nd hand market, so that plus £500 will get you an Nvidia 3070 or AMD 6700xt, allbeit at poor value still. There's only a handful of cards better than those right now.

If its an 8gb card as posted, then thats a 2060 super.
If so, then the £510 cards OCUK sells are barely 10% faster at 1440p monitor resolution.

I.e. You'll have to let your son know that his card is OK for now, and to wait till later 2022 for an upgrade.
