Hi guys,
My friend has already bought No competitor links! notebook, and was upset to realise it wouldn't run any new-ish games even on lowest settings.
(I'm linking to a non-OCUK site just because he's already bought it... i would have recommended an MSI gaming notebook from OCUK personally...
)
He didn't buy it as a gaming system but he mentioned getting Steam etc like I have, I knew it wouldn't run any games worth speaking of when he told me the spec, but he had already bought it.
Anyway my question is, can he upgrade the GPU in the notebook?
I told him it isn't really the done thing with notebooks and plenty can't upgrade anyway because they're just built to spec aren't they, not customisable past RAM and some factory options.
As it's practically brand new I recommended he fleabay it and get a gaming notebook... but he would prefer to upgrade if possible...
Do you guys know whether a new GPU can be put in?
I wouldn't think there was the option, with it having on board graphics, but I thought i'd better ask the gurus first!
Thanks guys.
