Graphics Card Upgrade - Help Needed!

Hi all,

I need you experienced help. I'm looking to upgrade my two year old HD4890.

I've got around £150-200 to spend.

My current setup:

- XFX ATI Radeon HD 4890 1024MB
- Core 2 Quad Q6700 "Kentsfield" 2.66GHz (running @ 3.2GHz)
- Antec 300 Case
- Kingston HyperX 8GB (4x2GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz
- Asus P5Q Pro Intel P45

I'm gaming at 1920x1080.

I'd really like a significant performance increase, but realise a HD6990 would be wasted on my system (due to bottleneck), as well as being well out of budget.

I don't mind switching to Nvidia if that would make more sense.

I really appreciate your knowledge.

What is the make / model of your psu.

- Corsair TX 850W ATX SLI Compliant Power Supply (CMPSU-850TXUK)

Does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm leaning towards the 6950.

Id go with the 6950 but maybe push for a 2gb card just for a bit of future proofing.

I'd take the 6950 out of the 2 RJC suggested.
