Hi, all

I just have a quick and simple question to ask for upgrading my GPU. I currently have a Corsair CV650 650W 80+ Bronze PSU, and wanted to know what I could safely upgrade to? I was only thinking of a RTX 4070 as I currently have a RTX 3060Ti. Just in case it helps my full specs are below.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900 - 12-Core
MEMORY: HyperX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4/3200mhz
MOTHERBOARD: MSI B450M PRO-VDH MAX
POWERSUPPLY: Corsair CV650 650W 80+ Bronze
GPU: RTX 3060Ti 8GB VRAM

Many thanks in advance for all of your support

Hi.

You could upgrade to whichever GPU if you upgrade your PSU which personally I would as it a budget unit. The 4070 isn't enough performance upgrade imo.

You could also sell your old CPU and GPU to upgrade CPU to a 5700x3d which is more suited to gaming and up the memory to 32gb

I agree, TPU says it is 43% faster, which is not nothing, but... I don't think that is worth paying £450-£500.

It is very hard to predict that. In theory, a 650 watt PSU can power almost anything, but it really depends on the quality of the unit.

Since the 4070 power consumption is not that different to the 3060 Ti, if it can cope with the latter it should cope with the former.
