Graphics card upgrade query

Ok guys i play Guild Wars 2 most all the time my comp is as per sig it has 2 GTX 670's in sli now i know that GW2 does not support sli. So the prob is when i set the game graphic settings to best appearence or auto detect the game looks fantastic for about 2 mins then crashes with the usual send anet a error report ( which we never get a reply from ). So if i bought a new GTX 980 or a Titan will i be able to go to max graphic settings and enjoy the game more. Thanks in anticipation. George..
 
If it is crashing have you tried removing the overclock and maybe taking a GFX card out and running it on its own? then if it crashes still try the other card.
 
Sorry should have said if it matters the game runs perfect on the lowest settings.. Other than crappy graphics.
 
Oki running oon one card and selecting autodetect in GW2 settings resulted in crash in about 20 sec's i looked through the error report and found this you may be able to understand it i dont...

I did a 3dmark a few months ago and it ran all that ok with a very high score. Cant remember what the score was..
 
Well try those tests again now and see if it passes them again.

Have you tried other games? are they ok? if everything works as intended then my money is on Guild of wars2 itself.
 
I would uninstall the game and then do a completely fresh install, preferable to different directory, seeing as your getting missing texture errors.

Ok i ran 3DMark 11 Extreme with one vid card only and got score of X3116 the results say scoring lower than you should, it suggests running it's bitdefender scan. Is that software any good...
 
What I would do is this (and mentioned by the other poster above).

Do a fresh install of windows with the latest drivers for the board and from Nvidia.
 
Ok guys thanks i know i am running nvidia's latest drivers the nvidia updater is set to download new drivers and software. All other games run fine only gw2 is giving problems so i will start with reinstalling the game. Thanks for your help will let you know what happens...
