Graphics card upgrade suggestions

Hi all

Got a 24" Monitor at Christmas, can run CSS well enough on my current BFG 8800GTS 320mb card at 1920 x 1200 but most newer games i have to change to about 1400 x 900 to get playable frames.

Id rather be able to run most games reasonable well at 1920 x 1200 (except crysis i wont play that till its playable...).

Any possible recommendations of graphics cards i could possible invest in.

I also will most likely be wanting to not have to change this for a while.

Anyone recommend any for this resolution?

Would the GT/GTS do this ?

P.s. i dont have a SLI/CF motherboard and most likely wouldnt invest in one for potential future of adding a second graphics card as i dont really see much performance increase over handing over another £150+ in the future for barely any increase in FPS. 80-90 average FPS suits me..

I think paying the extra £35 for the GTX may be the best idea at that resolution due to the higher bandwith on the GTX :)

ah thanks for the info#

Was thinking the GTX as its not much more than a GTS

Just hoping my current card sells on ebay to help fund

Though i may be tempted to get a 3870X2 if i get enough money back for travel expenses from college

Not sure if it would be worth getting it though

GT/GTS/GTX or 3870x2 will all do the trick.

Theres no need to pay over £240 for high end graphics in the current market, so only get the 3870x2 if you absolutely must have it
