I currently have:

2.8ghz P4 Processor
200gb hdd
1gb ram
Nvidia GeForce 6600 AGP Graphics card.

Is there any graphics card on the OcUK site, under £50 that will give me a boost in performance. If so, how much boost?

Thanks

Not for 50 quid, you will probably get 40 for you current card, so sell that and get a 6800GT or higher

HIS Radeon X1650 XT would beat that card in performance, about a 20-30% increase? But it's £58 and PCI-E, so not under £50 and I'm not sure if your board would do PCI-E, as it sounds like it could be a little old. For under £50 though, I couldn't find anything, and everything in AGP costs more if you were looking for a AGP card, so no joy there either.

Do you think it would be wise in investing in a £60~ AGP Card.. as i dont have a PCI-e slot. Also if i get a say ATI Radeon 1950pro, would it be as good in AGP as pci-e

AGP has bandwidth equivalent to a 4x PCI-E lane (correct me if I'm wrong) and all PCI-E GFX atm supports 16x PCI-E, you will see a small performance drop due to AGP's limited bandwidth but not much.

In any case it will still be far superior than 6600GT, get one if you intend to keep your current setup for a while.
