Graphics card upgrade

Hi there,

I was looking for a new graphics card for my girlfriends rig when I realized there was a much better way to spend the money, she gives her money to me :D I give her my 4870 and I can get a new grapics card with only little payment from my side!

So what would be the best upgrade to a 4870?

5850 or 2x 5770, don't wanna shell out the money for the 5870 really...

I got an Asus Maximus Formula x38 and I will be getting a Corsair HX650 PSU together with the graphics card.

Play WoW, MW2 mostly and other games that come out...
 
ye im in the same predicament...without the gf =[. im gonna go for the 5850, since i may have enough cash later on to do cf. however i heard cf 5770 is around 5850/70 mark.
 
If you got the money / time to camp the ocuk page for the 5850. I'd go for it :D

More than enough to meet your requirements and future proof with crossfire and dx11 support
 
Yeah probably better to get a 5850 then... hmmm

Any preferences on the make? I was gonna go for a Sapphire...
 
I am in the same boat, looking at upgrading my entire system, think I will go for the single 5850 as well with the hope of getting a 2nd later.

As for make, I always go for Sapphire and am yet to have any issues with them, that said though, I believe they are all pretty much as good as each other :P (Gone are the days where you chose based on what games came with it :()
