Hey guys, I'm looking at upgrading my current graphics card (Currently using a Nvidia GeForce GTX 560) Had it since i got my rig about 3 years ago, and i'm feeling like its time for an upgrade..

My current specs -

Processor - Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz
Video Card - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560
Memory - 8.2 GB

Not exactly sure if i need to put any of my other specs, but if any of you guys could help me find a good new card that would be great :)

Erm well i will be using the birthday money i receive to pay for my new card so i should be fine on a cost, erm i play at 1920x1080, and i play MOBAs, MMOs, FPS also wanting to hopefully play some of the newer games coming out soon too

Thanks pipson, are there any other suggestions? Just wanting a range to choose from? There any good Nvidia cards about i could get? I like to record games ect, and a friend recommended using Nvidia Shadowplay to record..

Totally depends on your budget bud, I know you say cost is covered, but that again could be for a 270, or 780tis in sli.
As far as shadowplay is concerned, I've not used it, but apparently it's very good, would I base a purchase on it..no but if you intend on recording a lot you may.
But there are plenty of other programs available that do the same thing with a small hit in performance.

If you can afford it, my money would be going on a 290 and use afterburner to record.
Unless of course you want things like physx etc in which case there's plenty or great 780s to pick from.

Thanks for all the help guys, so if i was to get a 290, i take it i wont have to worry about upgrading any other components ? as my current ones are okay ?

I used to have the same CPU as you and it was no good for GTX 670 SLI.

It's not the chip, it's the crap locked down base speed of your CPU. It held back Crysis 3 something rotten. Switched to an 8 core AMD @ 4.3ghz, problems gone.

I would look into a CPU upgrade. As for your PSU? depends on the model.
