Afternoon all,

I posted a thread about 4 weeks ago regarding upgrading my aged 770 lightning. At the time I thought I'd be in the 1060 or 580 price range; turns out I have a bit more to play with at £400-£500. I know I can get a pretty good 1070 or 1080 at that price but I'm slightly concerned with shelling out that kind of cash with Volta/Vega round the corner.

Anyone else in this predicament? I know regardless its going to be a massive upgrade but don't want to pay a premium for old tech if new stuff is a short distance away.

Regards

I'm in much the same boat although coming from a 970GTX. My usual biting point for a new GFX card is £300 but the 1070/1080's are nowhere near that level or likely to be for some time. I nearly bought one of Gibbo's deals at ~500 but with Vega around the corner I too would hate to drop that kind of money on something 'old'!
