GRAPHICS CARD UPGRADE

Hi there, I recently picked up a Alienware X51 R3 i5, with all the standard spec. Currently running on a GTX 745. I am pretty new to PC gaming so am still learning about upgrades and stuff. Could anybody recommend a better card that is reasonably priced if there are any? Looking between £100 - £150.

Or is it simply better to wait until money allows me to get something better?

Well I'd personally save up a bit more and get a 1060. Also, looks like a SFF PC but looks able to take a full-sized card so that should be fine. Do you know what PSU it has?

Ok, that might need changing too (possibly not though, needs more looking into by someone more knowledgeable about PSU's).

Slim line unit, I believe those PSUs are custom build along with power cables to custom Mobo, could be wrong but it's a habit of Dell/Alienware

Having a look at the board.. weird power plugs

Looks like you can fit in 272mm GPU , 2 slot . Recommend blower style if you can find it !

Just seen a video on youtube and it looks like with some minor adjustments i could upgrade to a GTX 1080

Does that pc have a riser card that plugs the graphics card into the mobo?

Lol, by the time you've saved up the new cards will be out. Don't look at graphics cards until budget allows it and you are ready to buy something
