New GPUs will be launching end of this year / early next, I’d hang on if you can as a 3070ti should still be decent for 1440p.

Difficult to upgrade a 3070 Ti without spending a lot, I'd at least wait for more news on RDNA 4.

I'd really be looking at a minimum of a 4070 Ti or 7900 XT (TPU's database has them at +42% and +59% in raster) for a consistent improvement, but they're still going to cost £600+.

Ideally, the performance level of a 4080 Super (+83%) or 7900 XTX is the most satisfying, which can double your FPS in some games, but that would cost the best part of £1K.

I'd say the 3070 Ti will be good for another year or two, probably not worth to upgrade it unless you can get a good deal on a new one and sell the 3070 Ti to cover some of the cost of the upgrade.

save the money, put some more to it and get a better monitor instead, then you have the best of both worlds, some better eye candy, and buy a gpu later when the price of all gpus tank due to the release of the 5000 series( esp the price of second hand)
buying a monitor in this day and age, it simply must be OLED and a higher res than yours so we are talking something like this g-sync monitor
My basket at OcUK:

Total: £798.95 (includes delivery: £0.00)
sell your current monitor, there is nothing really special about it
edit: oh i see that your current monitor is 1440, okay, my bad, keep saving for a gpu upgrade then!

As others have said, the 3070 still cuts it for most games, I'd wait for next gen at this juncture.

Intel, AMD and Nvidia are due to release new cards by January.

Intel and AMD are aiming for the same market, Nvidia still gonna shoot for the ultra high end.

I'm using a 3080FE,can do with an upgrade, but I'm going to wait and see what the 5 series brings before deciding, think that's the best way to go

Your card is decent but I think it's still worth keeping an eye out for deals on 7900XT/XTX if you're not too heavily into raytracing. I would imagine when new cards come out the 7900xtx will still be about as fast as 5070 type cards.
