im thinking of connection my pc to my hdtv using a dvi cable from the dvi on my graphics card to my dvi input on my hdtv. This way i leave my vga input on my tv free for other uses has anyone done this before or does anyone see any problems with this. I have no idea what dvi is as i have never used it so if anyone could please explain

Ive also now checked the back of my hdtv and found out that it is a DVI-D connection so can anyone tell me what dvi connection is on the powercolor x1950pro card so i can get the cable ready.

i have my pc connected to my lcd telly this way and the picture is spot on. dvi-d is a digital signal so its a digital to digital connection if you connect it this way.
