to me for the money i think the ati one but as i have always had nvidia, i like the first one i no the nvidia is dearer but is it worth me paying the extra.

on paper it sounds like the 4870 is better but i dont no a lot about this stuff :)
guys wat do u think :)

Unless ur playing games which are built for Nvidia Gpu's (Crysis Ecc..) go for the 4870.. imo. better perf and if ur interested in crossfire later on it will result in better scaling than in an sli setup...

The 4870 is faster and cheaper. For an extra £20 it might be worth considering the 4890, They overclock very well and will offer a lot of performance for a very good price.

btw guys when my new card arrives tomoz its ati and my card at the moment is nvidia when i load up the new card will it just overight the nvidia drivers.
or have i got to do it maually, if manually how do i do that .

many thks baz

Go to programs in control panel, uninstall Nvidia drivers, shut down, replaces cards, boot, install new drivers, reboot, update drivers, reboot.
