Graphics cards availability in America, a brief rant

I've been helping a friend spec out their first ever pc build, but unfortunately they live in the USA. They've been saving up for a while now and had been waiting for all the new gpus to launch at the start of this year and for the market and stock levels to settle down.

Here everything seems to be improving, right now on overclockers there are a number of different skus for all the new cards available, and some are even at or near msrp. But in the US it's sooo bad.

Little or no stock of anything and what is there seems to be getting more expensive by the day.

I know much of it is down to the current political situation, but knowing that doesn't make it better and that situation seems to only be getting more convoluted, with no end in sight.

I feel so bad for them, and am suffering a bunch of 2nd hand stress on their behalf. They've got the money, for the moment everything other than the graphics card is available. They ready to pull the trigger. But the goal post seems to have gotten up and be actively running away from them.

We are starting to remove our shipping restrictions now, so some GPU's like 5070 we are now shipping worldwide again as of today, likewise on 5070 ti and 5080 also. :)

So no worries if struggling in US just place your order here and we will ship it across the pond. :)

Haha love it.

That's good for UK businesses at least.

Considering the amount of boutique builders that seem to have stock of 5000 series cards in the US, if they don't / can't wait maybe get a prebuilt instead.
