Hello All, As you can see from this thread....

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=7847927#post7847927

Im after building a PC, however im not sure what to do graphics wise.

I want to graphics design, and play games like BF2, Oblivion, HL2 etc with good quality settings, I currently have a X1900XTX and know I can max out all settings with this, however im not realy looking to spend another £300 on a card as thats half my budget gone.

I have been looking, and I was wondering what would be my best bet:

Setup:

1) Sapphire ATI Radeon X1900 GT 256MB GDDR3 £135.11
2) Connect3D ATI Radeon X1900 XT 256MB GDDR3 £170.36
3) 2X *IN CROSSFIRE* Sapphire X1600 Pro 512MB DDR2 £164.48
4) 2X *IN CROSSFIRE* Sapphire X1600 XT 256MB GDDR3 £159.78
5) Leadtek GeForce 7950 GT 256MB £176.24
6) Leadtek GeForce 7900 GS 256MB £129.24
7) 2X *IN SLI MODE* BFG 3DFuzion GeForce 7600 GT 256MB £176.22
8) 2x *IN SLI MODE* BFG 3DFuzion GeForce 7600 GS 256MB £145.68

Have compiled these selections as this is probably within line of my budget, Thanks!

PS I Will be running Dual Monitors at about 1440 x 900

TBH, you'd be just as well sticking with what you have and running a dual monitor set up on it, than running a crossfire or SLI card setup with those cards.

quite simply... no.

what resolutions do you plan to game at ? if not higher than 1280X1024 then consider the X1800XT, if higher then go for the X1900XT 256mb.

Its for another PC, not this one

2X X1600 of any discription wouldnt equal the power of 1 good X1800XT 256mb. at that resolution, i would recommend the X1900XT @ £170 inc vat.

Even single 7600 GT would handle all those games pretty well at 1440 x 900, depends what kind of settings you wanna use.

X1800 XT/X1900 GT I'd have thought would be plenty even with high detail levels and AA etc.
