Here is probably a better one for gaming and creative work and came out 3/8/21 and has both AMD and Nvidia in one list:-

Those prices made me laugh.

probably the worst comparison charts I've ever seen I could have done the same on Excel with the same lack of evidence.

To find the best performing Nvidia Graphics Cards in Rendering I took the average of the three most popular GPU Render Engines: Redshift, Octane, and Vray-RT, and assigned points depending on the performance.

very scientific.

To use Octane and Redshift you will need a GPU that has CUDA-Cores, meaning you will need an NVIDIA GPU.

Some versions of VRAY used to additionally support OpenCL, meaning you could use an AMD GPU, but this is no longer the case.

TBF most GPU render engines for 3D work are based CUDA. AMD may be shifting gears with RDNA 2 though. We shall see come mid August.

Thats what I mean what was the point in it. If you read the article that links to the charts its all about Nvidia anyway and its nothing new that Nvidia cards are better at 3D work, Video and Photo work included.

The OP title is very misleading too.

My original post does state rendering. We all don't just game and the links were to a site that deals with CG.

I don't even need to click on the links to know that nearly all professional software these days is Cuda accelerated and you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't use a GPU with as many Cuda cores as you can afford

The Toms Hardware link also adds gaming to the results too. The other one did too but the Toms one is better I think for this forums as most are gamers and not pro workload users.

See for me the GPUS are always purchased for the pro workloads first and whatever they can do for gaming I'm happy with as they normally fall into the top gaming cards too by that time too or just slightly slower than the top gaming card, 1-2% to 5% max difference. Eg titan to the ti version, ti normally a bit faster as they have better power limits and not limited to 250W as most titans were.
